Concept Layouts

These are just a bunch of set concept thumbnails I did for the film I'm working on in college.  It is going to be set on the African plains, by a waterhole.  Sometimes I find it easier to get a concept down on a tiny space then develop it bigger, so a few of these are really tiny drawings..

Alien Walk Cycles (Flash)

This is a bunch of walk cycles I did during the summer, while on my internship with Affinity Tech, for their upcoming game Planet Munchie.  the art itself is not by me, though i had to change some little bits of it to get it all to work.  I put these all together in my last of week with Affinity Tech.  Check out their website at www.affinitytech.ie

started this painting one weekend a while ago, with the intention of taking it to a fully finished painting with a background, but then kind of forgot about it with all the other stuff I'm working on.  found it today and figured I may as well just touch it up and put it up here, maybe I will eventualy come back to it, but for now its done!   Pretty happy with my progress so far this summer using photoshop, still alot of room for improvement though.

Dodgy De Niro & Friends

decided to do a bit of really quick sketchy / doodle things, and post them up, so here is a dodgy looking De Niro, done with compressed charcoal, but i just stopped doing anything on it as soon as i messed up the eye..

After that, I quickly moved onto something random, so I googled goats and did a few quick sketches.  Here is my favorite of them.

Aaaand this last one was the only other thing in the book I was using, so I thought I'd throw it in too. I did it with my new coloured Sharpies I got for my last birthday, just to test out what I could do with them.

Stan, Ullrich and Strange Larry

Decided it might be a good idea to put up some of my really old stuff, so this is the first big animation project I ever did.

done in the summer of 2006

It took a few days animating solid, without any kind of story before hand, scripting the story as I went.

I then put it all together on my parents iMac using iMovie and subtitled it with the script I had made up already.  The final scene was an experiment using a bluescreen patch I downloaded and a load of blue Lego bricks sanded to stop the reflection.  The whole thing was made on my kitchen table.  I was only fifteen at the time, but I don't think it was the wisest choice to credit my screen name rather than my actual name, now that I'm looking for work in animation.

3D

Decided to put some of my 3d stuff up, but we arent supposed to post clips from our films this year in college till we've sent them all out to the festivals, so heres my model of Anne Marie from All Dogs Go To Heaven that I did last year in 3Ds MAX.

And this one is a quick backflip animation I did in 3D class while i had nothing else to work on.

Some Life Drawing

 I have a life drawing presentation tomorrow in college, and I had to pick out a few of my favorites from the year so far, and I have to say, there weren't really that many at all worth looking at...  but heres are some of the ones I do like.

i did a thing

Right, so I got home today from college with great intentions on working on my film and treating myself to a bit of Forza afterwards, but I tried a little photoshop before i started, and kind of got carried away with myself, but I'm kind of happy wit the result, I'm only really starting to get the hang of painting with it now I think.

Its just a basic painting really, no shadows or highlights or anything added yet, but i might keep working on it and see if i can get it looking good. Here's the picture I'm using for reference, and I'm just making up the colours as I go along really..


But it is now nearly 4 am, so it is time for sleep.

First Post...

I've decided now is the time to get this blog going, for college work and my own stuff too hopefully.  Reeaalllly not too sure about what to do here, but I'l get it kick started with some of my stuff from the last few years in college maybe?
